These Shed observatories are design as a type of log cabin kit, and if its your first log cabin build then I would probably allow a couple of days for at least two people to get it finished

The first one I built was not as straight forward as I would have liked, the instructions are simply diagrammatical drawings with little text to describe the process but once you get organised and lay out all the pieces it does start to make sense, starting with the base which the corner uprights slot into also the door frame supports, secure the top rails and attached the outer support frame and insert the diagonal cross supports, the 25mm log cladding simply screws to the inside frame, the roof frame is made with the roof boards and covering attached. We found it easier to assemble this on the ground and lift into place, finish the floor on the inside hang and level the doors, attached the stays at the back

The customer was unsure what to use to enable the roof to roll but he had a couple of washing machine dollies which he purchased from Amazon for £25 which did the job. After getting back to the office I did a quick google search and there are other options for rollers with track or glide roller but they are all a bit more expensive.

Needless to say the customer was very impressed with the overall build and quality, he said the attention to detail was excellent and there were a few spare planks which he was going to use to make a shelf.
