Hand made in our supply partners workshops, this bespoke Bird Watching Shed 6'6" x 6'6" (2m x 2m) offers a unique style of garden building. This Bird Hide shed was commissioned by a gentleman to observe birds and other wildlife. With three wide hatches to view from two on the front and one to the side, these can be closed off when the shed is not in use. A ledge is featured inside, positioned along the 6'6" side. Manufactured using 18mm T&G cladding, this shed has also been tanalised for longevity.

The main features of this Bird Watching Shed are:

• 15mm tanalised T&G cladding on a heavy duty frame
• 12mm T&G roof and floor
• Single door
• Three hatches
• Ledge on 6'6" side
• Standard roofing felt

All our sheds, workshops or garages are manufactured in our supply partners workshops to the highest of standards in the old fashioned way. Each building is lovingly made with selected, 5th grade redwood cladding on a substantial heavy duty frame. Every building is made specifically for a customer on order and is tailored to your own individual requirements.

This bespoke building features the following:

• Framing: Heavy duty framing of 2"x2" (50 x 50mm) as standard with top and bottom rails of 2"x1½" (50 x 38mm). The timber is of a high grade and planed smooth.
• Cladding: Clad in 19mm 5th Grade matching Tongue and Grooved, well seasoned Swedish red wood pine to ensure relatively knot free boards or can be made using 12mm tongue and grooved as standard. The boards are secured to the framing by high quality nails.
• Treatment: This building was pressure treated so guaranteed against rot and wood eating insects for at least ten years An option of dip treatment is available. 
• Roof: Manufactured from 12mm tongue and groove boards of the same quality as our cladding. Our roofs are then covered with 20kg green roofing felt as standard however a higher quality, heavy duty felt is available as are bitumen felt tiles.
• Floors: Manufactured using 16mm tongue and groove boarding for extra durability or 12mm boards as standard. The floor is supported on close centred 2"x1½" (50 x 38mm) planed floor joists. .
• Doors: Standard doors are 5'10" high x 3' wide (1554 x 900mm) made from 12mm tongue and groove boards on a fully framed, ledged and braced structure and hung on three galvanized tee hinges. All doors are fitted with a lock. Drip strips above the door for added weather protection

Good Day Adam,

At long last the hide has been built. Last week a team got together to transport and erect the hide. I have since made a couple of visits and everybody I’ve been in touch with have been pleased with it.

As you asked I have taken some photographs and these will come to you by WeTransfer.com. They are print quality should you wish to use them in this way or cut them down for posting on your website. You will probably notice a difference between the first 2 and the remainder. These were taken quickly after erection and are only the front. The lock hadn’t been put on until later, nor was the interior finished. After these items were done the hide was secured by inserting the stobs at the corners.

Adam I know this has been a long drawn out process but in the end it has been worth it
