Timber Prices

If you are thinking of purchasing a timber building may it be a log cabin, summerhouse or standard garden shed then get it ordered sooner rather than later.

We are hearing from a number of suppliers that the timber market yet again has been thrown into chaos due to the amount of timber that is sourced both directly or indirectly from Russia.

A lot of manufacturers purchase kiln dried timber from Scandinavian countries such as Sweden and Finland Germany is also another popular link but some of this timber originated from Russia.

Couple this with the ever increasing cost of fuel means that costs are continuously being reviewed and prices increase are already being passed on.

The demand is still high for certain garden buildings particularly those being used as Garden Rooms, Garden Offices and Log Cabins which are a cheaper option compared to a conservatory or extension but can be used as a practical/functional room. and as the season starts to get underway we are already noticing slight extensions on delivery lead times where manufacturers are at capacity and cant make product quickly enough.
