The Mayfield 14x8
The Mayfield 14x8 has a Swiss Chalet element in its design and is perfect for any garden. The attractive double doors are Georgian in style and centrally placed with a fixed 6 pane Georgian window either side of them. The doors come complete with antique style hinges and three lever lock. The whole structure is given extra strength with the planed and rounded internal framework which measures 2" x 1.5" in thickness
The cladding on this building is the very popular redwood tongue and groove boarding which comes with the option of being tanalised if required. The roof is topped off with an attractive quality green mineral felt which, if required, can be upgraded to a more heavy duty variant for a small charge.
On each side section of the building there is another window to be found. These are also Georgian in style with the added bonus of being able to be opened for extra ventilation when needed, these are also 6 pane.

The options explained.
What is shed lining?
Shed lining is a bitumen paper waterproof membrane which is fitted between the framing and cladding whilst the building is being erected. This material is moisture resistant and will ensure that your building will remain drier, this is particularly handy if you will be wanting to insulate your building at a later date.
Why floor bearers?
Floor bearers measure 3" x 3" in thickness and are treated against rot, this is guaranteed for 15 years. The idea of floor bearers is to physically lift your building off of the ground and allowing air to circulate underneath. This will help to prevent any damp entering your building through the floor.
Tanalisation is a pressure treatment which is impregnated in to the timber and penetrates below the surface. The treatment colours the timber to a slight green colour which will eventually fade to a silver. Tanalising protects against rot and insects.
