Question: Do I need to get planning permission?
Answer: The planning regulations have changed, although slightly relaxed from the original position as regards height there can be an issue when a building is placed too close to a boundary, for instance within 2.5m does have a height restriction. Carports and garages can sometimes require permission as can the groundworks.
