Although we supply over 2000 different types of buildings from our standard
ranges our customers often require buildings of differing specifications or a
quality that is superior than perhaps the buildings that are massed produced.
We manufacture our own range of buildings to extremely high standard, exactly
the way we did when we started in 1953.
We use a 5th Grade red wood pine from sustainable sources and can prove this
with a chain of custody certificate if required. These buildings are all
hand made from start to finish in our factory in Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk We
don't have a standard range of buildings as each and everyone is built entirely
to the customers specifications no matter what the requirements. You may

As from 2008 all our buildings are designed and drawn with the
latest parametric modelling technology. This is to enable us to meet
completely the demands of our customers and ensuring the building we build
totally meets their requirements and expectations. With this technology we are able to build the
structure in the virtual world to ensure everything works and fits correctly and
is to the desired proportions and size.
The DWF file is then sent to our customer to review and they can view their building
in 3D online or with additional software direct from their pc. Our
customers then have the facility to walk in the building, view every angle and see exactly
how we are making it and the precise measurements of the various components.
This is all carried out in real dimensions and is not scaled at all. Many
other facilities exist including adding notes for us, creating cross sections,
taking photos, changing lighting, removing sections and parts to see exactly how
it all goes together. When our customer chooses to install the product
themselves this 3d modelling can help greatly.
Using
this technology we can also create plans for planning permission approval.
We
can design buildings for customers before an order is approved to allow them to
make an informed decision on the manufacture of their building, the proportions
and the materials used. Also available for our customers is to photo
render the model and place it into their own pictures to enable them to see the
finished product in place in their own garden before they actually have the
finished product.
There are also enormous gains for us a manufacturer as we can build and
design extremely complex structure without actually making them in the real
world, ensuring that the whole building works before it enters manufacturing.
We have found this greatly decreases errors of the design concept and has also
decreased our lead times. We have also found that is gives customers
greater confidence knowing that we can deliver the correct building for their
needs without waiting until the day of delivery before finding out that perhaps
they would have like an additional window.
Below
are some examples using our latest technology.
