The Results Are In!!

 Over the past week or so the team at Taylors have been pondering, discussing and finally voting for our favourite buildings from three of our main categories. Out of our Summerhouses, Log Cabins and Sheds we have finally come to our top three.

Our candidates for the top garden shed were The Supreme Apex, The Rowlinson Potting Shed and The Supreme Workshop…

This building claims the best shed crown mainly due to its sturdy construction and versatility which is helped by the double doors which means that this building can be used to store larger items such as ride on mowers and other large garden machinery. That is assuming of course you are using it for storage, it could be used as a workshop or even a games room if you so wished.

The Denby is our champion!

The Denby was a clear winner for us by a substantial margin, this beast of a summerhouse is a real stand out among our range and some of the feedback we have had from our customers shows that you all feel the same about this magnificent building too!

Our final ballot was for our favourite Log Cabin, once again using the same format as the previous two polls, we came up with our winner. Our candidates were the Daniel Log Cabin, The Wolfgang Log Cabin and the Barbeque Hut.

A hard choice to make

We struggled a bit with this as we could not reach an agreement straight away between two of them. After a few heated debates and a re-vote we concluded that our winner for best log cabin had to be…

Our eventual winner

One of the best sellers in our entire range, not to mention all of our ranges full stop, The Daniel
was chosen due to its sturdy construction. Another factor which influenced the choice was that we use one of these very buildings as an office in our garden centre, you can see it next to the tills by the exit. This cabin has given us many years of good service and we have always been very fond of it!

The final stage of our election was to decide between our three champions and select what we consider to be the best of the best!  We had the impossible task of selecting just one to be the Taylors Garden Buildings champion for summer 2015.

Yet again we deliberated, pondered and generally racked our brains to make the final big decision, after what seemed like an eternity we had to go with a coalition. It was either that or have a mini riot in our office.

Things are speeding up on the Taylors website! Spring is on its way and the rapidly approaching new season has inspired many of you to get out in to your gardens and prepare for the new season to come.

As well as our returning regulars we have gained a lot of new faces amongst our clientele, so for those of you who are new to our “family” we have added links to all of our products which will take you to our terms and conditions and make it easier to understand them.

These are here for everybody. As well as making your transaction easier and hassle free it also helps us to make sure that our customers are fully aware of their rights as a consumer and will get the very best in customer service.

In addition to this every time you place an order with us you will be sent an order confirmation with our T&Cs attached!

Log cabins? Don’t you mean a man cave?

Five years ago, down at the bottom of the garden, among the birds and the bees, in the shade of the trees, we built our log cabin.

Having lived in our house for seven years and with the family getting bigger we decided a log Cabin would be a cost effective way of expanding our living space. A much more attractive and unique alternative to a conservatory or extension and something we could comfortably build ourselves.

Our garden is not the biggest so we selected a reasonable 10ft x 8ft log cabin made with 28mm tongue and grooved logs.

Our chosen log cabin has an apex roof covered with green shingles, a single door in the gable end and a window in the side.

We also made the wise decision to insulate the floor cavity which really helps in the winter. With a small oil filled radiator its cosy place to spend time.

Over the last five years our log cabin has been used mostly by the kids and their friends as a play room and on occasion they have camped out in it without complaint. As the kids have grown up, our log cabin has developed into a games room for the Xbox.

The cabin is in great condition even after this time with an annual wood treatment and hopefully one day when the kids have grown up it will become my hobby room or office. I always fancied my own man cave.

I live in hope. I can see it now, a fridge, dart board, flat screen, lazy boy (that’s me) and a soft recliner…….

The great thing about a log cabin is the versatility of the construction.

You can use a log cabin for practically whatever you want. Looking for a studio, gym, utility room?

What a month!

What a month this has been.

It’s our first month as the new owners of www.taylorsgardenbuildings.co.uk and what a month it’s been.

Firstly I want to thank the new members of the team, Lauren, Cheryka, Sarah, Dan, Graham and Andy for all their hard work and support.

It’s been a busy month and so much to take in. They’ve done really well and put 100% effort in. It’s not been without it’s problems but we’re working on them!

So, what next? We’ve got lots in store for you in the coming weeks. We’re just adding a range of sheds and summerhouses that include delivery and assembly in the price!

That’s just for starters. We’ve got some really funky man caves to go on, some cool log cabins, some great childrens play equipment and so much more.

I’d better get going, there’s lots to do.
